Coverage Rates

Coverage is based on a single treatment. Multiple applications may be required depending on the type and thickness of the existing sealer.

Surface Preparation

1. Remove all loose dirt, debris, and contaminants from the surface.
2. Protect adjacent surfaces that are not intended to be stripped.
3. Cover nearby plants and landscaping with plastic sheeting or other approved protective materials.
4. Be aware that AllStrip may remove paint from painted surfaces.
5. Prevent rinse water containing stripper and dissolved sealer from entering storm drains, sewers, waterways, or swimming pools.

For small projects, containment can be achieved using temporary dams and a wet/dry vacuum. Larger projects may require professional reclamation equipment.

Always Test First

Before stripping the entire surface, test AllStrip in a small, inconspicuous area following the application instructions below.

Allow the test area to dry completely before evaluating results. Testing will help determine:

• Product compatibility
• Stripping effectiveness
• Required dwell time
• Final appearance of the surface

Application Information

• Apply only when air and surface temperatures are above 40°F (4°C).
• Do not apply when temperatures exceed 90°F (32°C).
• Do not apply to frozen surfaces.
• Never allow the product to dry on the surface.
• Rinse thoroughly while the product is still wet.
• For larger projects, work in manageable sections.

Recommended Application Tools

• Low-pressure, high-volume sprayer
• 1" nap roller
• Stiff nylon brush or broom
• Flat surface cleaner attachment (optional)
• Cold-water pressure washer with 25°–40° spray tip

Application Instructions

1. Perform a test area before full application.
2. Do not dilute the product.
3. Apply generously using a sprayer or roller.
4. On sloped surfaces, apply from the bottom up using a side-to-side motion.
5. Allow the product to dwell for 15–30 minutes while keeping the surface continuously wet.
6. Do not allow the stripper to dry. Reapply as necessary.
7. Check progress using a plastic putty knife.

If the sealer softens but does not release:

• Allow an additional 15–30 minutes of dwell time.
• Reapply AllStrip if drying occurs.
• Scrubbing with a nylon brush may improve results.

Important: Do not introduce water until you are ready to rinse. Adding water prematurely will stop the stripping process.

Rinsing

Thoroughly rinse the surface using:

• A pressure washer with a 25°–40° fan tip
• A rotating nozzle
• A flat surface cleaner attachment

Use only the amount of pressure necessary to remove the coating. Excessive pressure may damage the substrate.

Some heavy coatings or multiple layers of sealer may require a second stripping application.

Allow the surface to dry completely before installing joint sand or applying a new sealer.

For Difficult-to-Remove Sealers

1. Apply a heavy coat of AllStrip.
2. Cover the treated area with plastic sheeting.
3. Allow the product to dwell for an extended period, not exceeding 6–8 hours.
4. Ensure no rain is expected during the dwell period.
5. Restrict vehicle and foot traffic.
6. Turn off all irrigation systems.

After the dwell time:

• Remove the plastic sheeting.
• If the product has dried, apply a light coat of AllStrip and allow it to dwell for an additional 30 minutes.
• Rinse thoroughly following the standard rinsing instructions.

Cleanup

Clean all tools, equipment, and overspray immediately with water before the product dries.
